Mentoring

Write that paper! Experienced authors are waiting to help you

Those of you who attended the Idaho Falls plenary session entitled "Fisheries Scientists Must Write" will recall that incoming President Dan Schill asked for experienced authors who would be willing to mentor new or very inexperienced authors on publication of a peer reviewed journal article they have been contemplating. The mentoring committee is happy to report that we had 17 attendees volunteer to help you and others with your publication goal.

If you are interested in getting help publishing a paper, you can email me your name, a draft title of the paper you are interested in getting help with, your basic level of experience with the peer review process, and the general type of assistance you would hope to achieve we can get the process started. I will take the information you provide and forward it to a couple of the folks who have volunteered and see which of them feel they could provide you with the best help. We do not want you to contact folks directly because we assume some of the better known publication experts in the Chapter would quickly get overburdened. Whether you have been putting off your first attempt at a peer reviewed publication or if it’s been a long time since you published, now is the time to get some experienced mentor help. Please contact me at Jessica Beulow Thanks!
