Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: How fish get from the hatchery to their final destinations

Description:This workshop will focus on fish transportation throughout the state of Idaho. Hatchery fish aren’t always reared in proximity to their desired stocking locations, and how they get there can vary greatly depending on species and hatchery program. From high mountain lake stocking to anadromous smolt transportation, this workshop will provide insight, instruction, and exposure to the methods and equipment used to get fish from here to there.

Please note that this workshop will take place off-site at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s Eagle Complex, 1800 Trout Road, Eagle, ID, 83616. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to and from the workshop location. Lunch will be provided
