Environment Project Manager

Location: Spokane, WA with possible hybrid option

This position reports to the Executive Director (ED). The UCUT Environment Manager will be responsible for managing the UCUT, EPA Indian Environmental General Assistance Program (GAP) and the Columbia River Toxics Reduction Lead Entity Project (CRTRLE). The main areas of expertise include project management, strong reporting and budget management skills and the ability to manage and monitor the toxics reduction lead entity and GAP projects. Salmon Reintroduction Grant and Project Manager

Location: Spokane, WA with possible hybrid option

The Salmon Reintroduction Grant and Project Manager will be responsible for administrative and accounting support to both the consortium and the member tribes. This will be accomplished through four main tasks: 1) administratively manage salmon reintroduction projects that involve the UCUT organization and the member tribes; 2) pursue funding opportunities; 3) manage salmon reintroduction budgets for the UCUT organization; and 4) coordinate salmon reintroduction communications amongst the UCUT organization, the member tribes, and regional partners.

We have a great opportunity for a Restoration Engineer in Training in our Boise, ID office to support multiple watershed assessments, habitat restoration designs, and monitoring projects throughout the Northwest. We are looking for a unique candidate whose experience spans hydrology and hydraulics, drafting and engineering design, GIS, and geomorphology. We are interested in recent graduates with coursework focused in these as well as someone with demonstrated applicable experience in the public or private sector who shares our approach and restoration philosophy.

Mount Hood Environmental

Biometrician/Data Analyst

Mount Hood Environmental is seeking a motivated Biometrician/Data Analyst to join our interdisciplinary team to implement statistical analyses, develop data visualization applications and/or websites, automate workflows, and develop computational and statistical tools for clients. The selected candidate would work alongside MHE scientists on a variety of projects related to fisheries, toxicology, water quality, and regulatory compliance. The selected candidate would need to be proficient in computer programming (e.g., R or Python), have experience collaborating in the Git environment, and possess a solid foundation in statistical concepts. Ideally, the selected candidate would also have experience conducting population dynamics modeling, abundance and survival estimation, life-cycle modeling, and/or fish-habitat modeling.

Additionally, the selected candidate would preferably possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication, effectively work on a team and independently, and be familiar with fisheries in the Pacific Northwest.
